Simon and Tom return to Royal Ascot 2023
Simon will be returning to Royal Ascot for his fifth year, cooking at 'The Parade Ring' restaurant in The Royal Enclosure alongside Tom Barnes, Executive Head Chef at L’Enclume and Rogan & Co. Tom will be returning for his second solo appearance at Royal Ascot, presenting a six-course tasting menu to racegoers in 'The Old Press Room' restaurant, also in the Royal Enclosure.
The first preliminary event of the year took place on Monday 6th February with a fine dining preview. Simon and Tom were joined by James Tanner, Sally Abé, Brett Graham, Tom Booton, Ollie Dabbous and Raymond Blanc, OBE to each present their food concepts at Carousel London.
Each chef took to the stage to demonstrate a dish from their new menu which will be served at the Royal Meeting in June.
Tom Barnes cooked and presented a dish of 'Cured Mackerel in Horseradish with Fermented Gooseberries and a Potato Pancake'.
Simon demonstrated a main dish of 'Stuffed Guinea Fowl, Broad Beans, Turnips, Offal Ragout and Watercress'.
A fantastic event to kick off the 2023 event. With eight Michelin Stars collectively, Royal Ascot 2023 is set to be the most illustrious Royal Ascot Fine Dining line-up to date.
